What are Content Nodes?

Updated on December 12, 2022

Content nodes are individual pieces of content that the AI-generated assistant displays to the end-user

How is this useful?

Having different types of content nodes will allow for more varied and personalised content for your bot, and it will be more interactive and engaging for users as well.

How does it work?

There are two main types of content nodes – text nodes and card node.

  • Text Nodes – Displays text, buttons, and quick replies
  • Card Nodes – Displays image, title, short description, link, buttons, and quick replies

If you have selected a text node, you will only be able to display one text node at a time, however, if you have selected card nodes, you may choose to create multiple cards to create a card or menu carousel.

For each content node, there are two basic types of interactive elements – buttons and quick replies – to facilitate conversation with the end-user, as well as to capture data when necessary.

There is a maximum of 3 buttons and 10 quick replies for each content node.

For full details on buttons and quick replies, please view Button and Quick Reply respectively.

Please view the video below for a quick introduction to content nodes.
