Sequential Message

Updated on December 12, 2022

Sequential message allows you to define the next step after a particular content node.

How is this useful?

Adding a delay between messages will allow your end-user some time to read the message prior to the next one being sent.  This will also make the virtual assistant look more human-like, as people usually need time to type between messages.

How do I add sequential messages?

There are 2 methods to add sequential messages:

  1. After a content node has been created, at the bottom of the content node, click on ‘+ Next step’.

    OR

After a content node has been created, click on ‘+’, followed by ‘Sequential message’.
  2. Select the Event type.  These are the different actions that can be taken.

For full details on the different type of actions, refer to Options for Buttons.
  3. You may want to add some time delay between each message.  Click on ‘+ Delay’, and a slider will appear.  To set the time delay, drag the slider to the number of seconds you would like to set.  The maximum time delay is 60 seconds.
  4. Click on the tick on the header bar to save the content node.
